Revised course for cybersecurity managers

The ISO/IEC 27032 Lead Cybersecurity Manager training course has undergone a major update. It will be called Lead Cybersecurity Manager. One of the main reasons for the name change is the changes in ISO/IEC 27032.  The new edition of ISO/IEC 27032, titled “Cybersecurity – Guidelines for Internet Security”, has been narrowed down to only addressing issues related to Internet security and therefore the name of the standard has been dropped from the course title.

What does the new Lead Cybersecurity Manager course deliver?

The Lead Cybersecurity Manager training course provides a comprehensive methodology for establishing, maintaining and continuously improving a cybersecurity program based on industry best practices such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27032, ISO/IEC TS 27110:2021, ISO/IEC 27100:2020, etc.

The goal of this new training course is to ensure that candidates understand and master the necessary concepts, practices, and techniques to support organizations in effectively designing, implementing, monitoring, and improving their cybersecurity program.

Key changes in the new version of the Lead Cybersecurity Manager training include:

  • The new version is now based on additional resources beyond ISO/IEC 27032, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC TS 27110:2021, ISO/IEC 27100:2020, etc.
  • The course content has been significantly expanded. The information is now up-to-date and in line with the latest innovations in the security industry.
  • Multiple choice quizzes have been added to each section
  • A new multiple choice exam has been created

Expiration of the existing course

The ISO/IEC 27032 Lead Cybersecurity Manager course will end on 15 January 2024.
